Experimental spaces to deepen Biodynamics

Continued professional development through inquiry-based learning and researching: Let’s re-structure our learning journey and foster peer learning by exploring and addressing challenges in working on the land

WHO is is this addressed to?
We invite all professionals from within the biodynamic movement who wish to further explore and deepen their understanding of the biodynamic principles to make progress on a research question or a project, or to bring a vision to life. Professionals who wish to develop both professionally and personally and further develop their skills.

WHY should I join?
Participation not only promotes your professional development by deepening your existing knowledge, but also supports you in your personal and professional situation by helping you tackle unresolved issues, overcome workplace challenges, or turn your visions into reality!

Participants benefit from this and broaden their horizons
-    by exploring a topic in various steps
-    by exchanging ideas with colleagues
-    by discussing with experts
-    by further developing their perception skills

HOW does that work?

We envision two types of participation: active and passive. Active participants come with a question or a topic, engage fully, and immerse themselves deeply in the training. Passive participants can attend certain modules as listeners, contributing to the exchange and discussion.

---Registration will open in June 2026---

STEP 1: Warming / September – October 2026 - online
You are invited to contribute and to prepare a short presentation of your project/question connected to a relevant theme of biodynamic agriculture in an open online seminar. Therefore we ask you to take a step back and raise your questions to a higher (meso- or macro-) level. Your contribution should preferably include (historical) context, current research findings, references, and links to other relevant works. In a subsequent discussion, we would like to provide an opportunity for dialogue, questions, and sharing of best practices and ideas, by including the audience. This online seminar marks the beginning, but also the foundation for further individual and collaborative learning. Please prepare a short essay for your peers and for us to organize further steps.

Aims:

  • Encourage people to revisit the topic, explore it, and find out more about the context and background. It sets the foundation for further individual and collaborative learning
  • Encourage students to incorporate anthroposophical perspectives into the topic and to explore them
  • Discuss interesting and relevant topics within the movement in open online sessions

STEP 2: Expanding / November – December 2026 - online
To broaden our horizons and delve deeper into the subject, we will invite various experts in to share their insights on relevant topics. In the small-group discussions that follow, we will have the opportunity to gain further ideas and inspiration. Open online sessions.

Aims:

  • In-depth exploration of specific relevant topics related to the students' areas of study
  • Exploring in-between spaces and relationships
  • In-depth learning through expert knowledge and peer discussion for an open public

STEP 3: Digesting / January 25th – 29th 2027 – Dornach
EXTRA MODULE

We will come together in person to further explore our questions and challenges and learn together. Since we’ve already had the opportunity to get to know each other and our topics beforehand, we’ll have plenty of time for in-depth discussion, reflection, and sharing ideas. During this intensive study week, we will make use of various tools to continue exploring the question/topic and to process it further towards transformation. One focus of this week will be on the training our perception skills in various ways.

Aims:

  • A moment of pause, digestion
  • An opportunity to explore various transformational tools
  • Time to deepen Anthroposophics
  • Further developing perception skills
  • Peer learning, Social learning

STEP 4: Digesting and Exploring/ Late February - March 2027 - online

We will run further online sessions where we would like to further engage with all the participants who could not join the physical meeting in January and continue the journey.

* please note, that this program and concept is work in progress. It is flexible and can be adapted to meet specific needs and circumstances

What are the COSTS?
This is a first pilot year to work with this approach. As an active participant you can join all modules/steps (apart from the optional in-person meeting in Dornach) on a donation basis. For passive participants, the modules are accessible at a small fee.

The fee for the intensive week at the Goetheanum has yet to be calculated. You can already express your interest in taking part.
