One of the stated goals of biodynamic agriculture is to produce food of high nutritional and taste quality for body and soul. Although scientific research on the food quality of biodynamic products has been conducted for many years, this topic only gained recognition at the beginning of the 21st century with the publication of scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals.
The number of scientific publications on the quality of biodynamic food has increased significantly in recent years, as have publications in the fields of viticulture and soil quality. Nutritional properties are the most frequently discussed topic in the scientific literature on food quality. Here we provide an overview of the current state of science in five languages:
