L'International Conference on Biodynamic Research (BDRC) est un congrès récurrent qui permet aux chercheurs, aux agriculteurs et agricultrices et à d'autres personnes intéressées de se rencontrer, d'échanger et de créer des réseaux.
Depuis 2018, il a lieu tous les trois ans. En 2023, il se tiendra pour la première fois à la Royal Agriculture University en Grande-Bretagne.
Ce congrès offre des possibilités de mises en réseau pour le public professionnel et constitue la base de nouvelles coopérations émergentes. Dans ce contexte, la Section d'Agriculture met particulièrement l'accent sur une approche transdisciplinaire et interdisciplinaire afin de rassembler autant que possible les connaissances des chercheurs et l'expertise pratique des fermes et des lieux biodynamiques.

The whole and its parts: researching biodynamic agriculture
Following the success of the first two international biodynamic research conferences in 2018 and 2021, we are excited to build on these achievements in 2025 and further develop biodynamic research. Under the title "The whole and its parts: researching biodynamic agriculture", we will focus on the holistic perspective of biodynamic research and its unique ability to connect various topics and research methods. This approach opens up new perspectives – even for researchers without a biodynamic background.
The Biodynamic Association UK, the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester, the Biodynamic Federation International, the Forschungsring, and the Section for Agriculture at the Goetheanum are working together to create a rich program that reflects the diversity of biodynamic research and invites researchers with an interest in biodynamic agriculture and food systems to actively participate.
With around 100 contributions from researchers worldwide, the conference offers a unique opportunity to share and further develop current insights across all areas of biodynamics. It fosters vibrant networks, collegial learning, and interdisciplinary collaboration – and most of all, invites you to actively shape the future direction of biodynamic research.
Look forward to inspiring keynote speakers! Binita Shah and Julia Wright will open the event with a reflection on the holistic nature of biodynamics. On the second day, David Martin and Eduardo Rincón will share their different perspectives on biodynamic practice and research. Finally, Regina Sharmila Dass and Cyrille Rigolot will introduce new approaches to the future of biodynamic research. You can also look forward to a wide variety of workshops, discussion panels, poster presentations and excursions.

Le deuxième BDRC s'est tenue du 31 août 2021 au 2 septembre 2021 dans un format numérique. Il était consacrée au thème « croître au-delà de la résilience » ou « growing beyond resilience ».
À travers une approche inter- et transdisciplinaire, les recherches académiques, participatives et pratiques ont été réunies pour discuter du concept de résilience dans les systèmes agricoles et alimentaires biodynamiques et biologiques. Des défis urgents tels que le changement climatique, la perte de biodiversité, la dégradation des sols, ainsi que les maladies humaines ont pu être considérés de manière globale et des solutions constructives ont pu être échangées.

Le premier BDRC 2018 portait sur le thème de la recherche dans l'agriculture et l'alimentation biodynamiques. Plus de 180 participants se sont réunis pour écouter la centaine de contributions et échanger leurs points de vue. Ainsi, le BDRC a été le premier congrès où les chercheurs et les praticiens ont pu échanger conjointement sur l'agriculture biodynamique.
