In the keynote lectures that follow directly after the presentations on the Michael Letter, we will consider the cosmic, earthly and atmospheric sources of agriculture. 

All that happens on earth is a reflection of the cosmos. This image, which we encounter right at the beginning of the Agriculture Course, has inspired Sherry Wildfeuer for many years. In her keynote lecture she describes the sensitive relationship between the cosmos and the earth and the meaning this has for biodynamic agriculture today.

Tom Saat looks at soil fertility and how thinking about this has narrowed in the course of the technological developments of the 20th century. How can we find our way back to the original earthly impulse? 

In his contribution, Jean Michel Florin looks neither up nor down, but horizontally: the atmospheric aspects of the weather, climate and the seasons of the day are a third source of agriculture and find their expression in the landscape, with the composition of earth, water, air and warmth typical of each place. Agriculture can shape the landscape and climate for better or for worse.
