Sustainable agriculture works!

Creado por Wolfgang Held | 16.07.2025 |   News
Four practical visionaries leading the way

Agriculture is at a turning point. Around the world, farmers are striving to find sustainable cultivation methods that not only regenerate the soil but also offer social and economic perspectives. Four inspiring women from different regions of the world show how change is possible. With contagious enthusiasm, they opened the Agriculture Conference 2025 at the Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland.

The projects described demonstrate that sustainable farming methods not
only regenerate nature but also open up economic opportunities and strengthen social communities. All four representatives of these inspiring initiatives highlight that the key to success lies in community and collaboration with political institutions: in India, farmers organise themselves in collectives; in Egypt, pilot projects serve as models for government programmes. Crucially, successful models must be documented and shared to overcome scepticism and accelerate transformation. Education, practical knowledge, and close support for farmers are essential to secure lasting change.
