Insights and conclusions from Biodynamic farm organism peer learning program

Adama Haya is conducting an online session, to share insights from different farm visits in Italy, Germany and Switerland with the goal to enable more farmers to see their colleagues' best practice and how biodynamics is unfolding in different settings and geographies.

"The strength of the biodynamic associations is that they bring from the periphery, from a wide diversity of farmers: who take care of our food vitality and nature - the needs, desires and ambitions into the center of the association, which is designed to serve the future development of biodynamic agriculture impulse".
Carlo Triarico, President of the Italian Biodynamic Association

From 6 to 19 August 2024, a group of farmers and agriculture entrepreneurs visited biodynamic farms in Italy, Germany and Switzerland in a peer learning program, set up by Adama Haya in Israel.

The visit included the largest biodynamic wine cooperative in Europe, where 700 family winegrowers lead a special project of reintroducing wild birds to their region, literally revitalizing the ecology of their region.

In Germany one of the oldest biodynamic farms, Rengoldshausenfrom 1932, has been visited. The farm produces its whole seedlings in earth cubes so that the roots of the fresh seedlings never need to be exposed to light. Caring for its very core of the start of life leads to a fantastic practices all across their cultivation.

On the contrary, the group met with a biodynamic farm that has collapsed in (socially and economically) and is working these days to rebuild itself in the future needs.

Such colleagues peer learning is heartwarming, enthusiasm building and filling us with many practical examples. Therefore Adama Haya is conducting an online session, to share insights from these farm visits, and enable more farmers to see their colleagues' best practice and how biodynamics is unfolding in different settings and geographies.

This program was enabled via the good support of Carlo Triadico from Italian biodynamic association and Corinna Nieland Demeter Germany
