Area for biodynamic trainers and teachers

For more than ten years the Section for Agriculture at the Goetheanum in collaboration with the Biodynamic Federation Demeter International (BFDI) has been making efforts to facilitate the exchange of experiences and knowledge among educators. Trainers and teachers’ conferences, funding support for local train-the-trainers initiatives, diversity of online sessions and workshops are some of the initiatives periodically organized to support networking and capacity building of biodynamic trainers and teachers within the movement.

The Handbook for biodynamic trainers and teachers „Learning Biodynamics as a Path of Self-Discovery“

The Handbook for trainers and teachers in biodynamic agriculture “Learning Biodynamics as a Path of Self-Discovery”, published in English, is intended to provide trainers with inspiration and knowledge to help them create meaningful learning experiences and to accompany them on their learning and development path.

A big thanks to Maria Paz Bernaschina from BFDI and all contributors for this valuable work:

Events for biodynamic trainers and teachers

Together with BFDI, international conferences for biodynamic trainers are organized on a regular basis. The first international biodynamic training conference took place in Dornach, Switzerland in 2019. The second international meeting in 2022 was organized and held in four continents and with four different teams. Each region approached the overarching theme of "Learning Biodynamics as a Path of Transformation" according to local interests, needs and circumstances.

More than 200 young and experienced biodynamic trainers and teachers from more than 35 countries participated in the four training workshops. In addition, about 40 people met in each of the four online train-the-trainer meetings. The next biodynamic trainers meeting is planned for 2025.

Read the short reports of the four workshops here:

Zimbabwe: African biodynamic trainers workshop 2022

Malaysia: Asia Pacific Biodynamic Conference and Trainers meeting

Switzerland: European biodynamic trainers workshop 2022

Peru: Latinamerican biodynamic trainers workshop 2022

Are you involved in biodynamic education and interested in more details? We will be happy to send you the detailed reports of the workshops upon request.
