As this year is dedicated to the future, a conference for young people will take place from February 3 to 5. Specific professional groups will also meet before the conference. And, of course, you won’t want to miss the tasting evening featuring biodynamic delicacies from around the world as the kickoff to the Agriculture Conference!

Highlights of the Agriculture Conference 2025
Profound Lectures – with Livestreams
To understand the Earth as a living being, we refer to Rudolf Steiner’s seven life processes: breathing, warming, nourishing, individualizing, sustaining, growing, and reproducing. Univ.-Prof. Dr. David Martin will demonstrate how these universal processes, combined with the twelve senses, shape our understanding of the Earth as a living entity.
Mechthild Oltmann, a priest of the Christian Community, will illuminate the anthroposophical roots of this perspective and its relevance to how we relate to our planet today.
The Michael Letter "Michael’s Task in the Sphere of Ahriman" serves as a foundation for exploring the Earth through different perspectives:
- Feeling: Monique Macfarlane and Eduardo Rincón delve into the emotional connection to the Earth.
- Thinking: Matthias Rang and Ueli Hurter develop approaches to understanding the Earth as a living being.
- Acting: Chick Ying Chai and Jasmin Peschke show how we can actively contribute to the Earth’s positive development.
Finally, Eduardo Rincón and Ueli Hurter, co-leaders of the Section for Agriculture, will summarize the insights gained during the Agriculture Conference 2025 and present concrete strategies for creating healthy habitats for plants, animals, and people. Together, we will embark on a journey toward a life-affirming future!
The Future of Our Earth
Inspirational Panel Discussions – with Livestreams
At the opening of the Agriculture Conference, Swati Renduchintala (scientist at World Agroforestry), Ercilia Sahores (head of the Organic Consumers Association), and Thoraya Seada together with Naglaa Ahmed (project leaders at the Egypt Biodynamic Association) will discuss their work in sustainable agriculture. Their projects illustrate how sustainable farming and food systems are implemented in diverse contexts.
In another discussion, Feya Marince, co-founder of the Indigenous Biodynamic Association of Africa, Anthoniselvi Savarimuthu, a biodynamic farmer from India, Maria Widiyanto from Indonesia and Diego Porras from Mexico will reflect on the significance of indigenous perspectives. They will demonstrate how indigenous cultures maintain a deep connection to the Earth, fostering greater appreciation of it as a living being.
Finally, a transdisciplinary exchange will bring together experts from medicine, education, and agriculture. Berni Courts (Ruskin Mill Trust), Dr. Martin Günther Sterner (internist and gastroenterologist), Tobias Hartkemeyer (teacher and CSA pioneer), and Ruben Segers and Antoinette Simonart (farm De Kollebloem, Belgium) will discuss how integrative approaches can create holistic practices for health and agriculture.

Diverse Workshops
Would you like to learn more about enterprise management with commons, explore biodynamic preparations, or discover the spiritual dimension of compost? Sign up for the diverse workshops! In the three-day morning workshops, the conference theme will be explored in depth, with a focus on the seven life processes. The afternoon workshops are thematically open and include artistic or meditative elements. Most workshops are bilingual.

Cultural Events and Celebrations
The eurythmy program "Worlds of Becoming" on Thursday evening, February 6, invites you to experience the seven life processes through art. How can these universal qualities, present in all living beings, be made visible and tangible through the language of movement, music, and poetry? The Goetheanum Eurythmy Stage Ensemble has created a finely tuned composition for this purpose.
The festive evening of the Agriculture Conference on Friday, February 7, will feature two parts: a classical concert by violinist Miha Pogačnik and a folkloric performance by French music groups. Miha Pogačnik will play three solo sonatas and Bach’s Chaconne, the final movement of his famous five-part Partita No. 2 for Violin in D Minor. The arrangement follows the four steps of the Foundation Stone Meditation. The concert will take place in the West Staircase, whose unique acoustics provide an extraordinary listening experience.
Successful Biodynamic Initiatives Worldwide
Presentation of Conference Scholarships and Other Afternoon Events
Fourteen young people from different countries have received conference scholarships and will present their biodynamic initiatives during the afternoon breaks on Thursday and Friday, February 6 and 7, from 16:10 to 16:50 in the West Staircase of the Goetheanum. Look forward to fascinating contributions, some with musical and creative elements!

Welcome Event, Tours, and Exhibition Rooms
General tours of the Goetheanum building will again be offered during the Agriculture Conference 2025. We are also extending the visiting hours for the Goetheanum and various exhibition rooms. All conference participants are invited to a brief multilingual welcome event where the conference program and logistics will be introduced.
