Biodynamic perspectives worldwide

The Section for Agriculture invites the worldwide biodynamic movement to join the discussion.

This is the opportunity to put forward ideas, strategies, principles and approaches in current biodynamic practice, research, training and processing. The debate focuses in particular on how to work with the current challenges of our times.

Have you always wanted to find out what actually underlies biodynamic agriculture, how the research on this is carried out, how it has developed and who is currently leading the movement?

Or are you interested in how biodynamic ideas such as the agricultural organism, land-based animal husbandry and the training of perception are currently put into practice in different parts of the world?

Then you have come to the right place. The podcast is intended for all those who are curious to learn more about biodynamic agriculture and its approaches to solving our present-day problems.

#32 Creative Ways in Biodynamic Farming

06/01/2026 |   Living Farms
With Tom Saat and Eduardo Rincón

How can farmers develop resilient, place-based agricultural systems that are both ecologically and economically viable? In this podcast episode, Eduardo Rincón speaks with farmer and agronomist Tom Saat from Stadsboerderij Almere about creative approaches to biodynamic farming.

Tom shares how regional challenges can be transformed into opportunities through sound biodynamic practices, the thoughtful use of technology, appropriate scaling, and strong market relationships. By working with the unique conditions of his region, he has been able to reduce costs and prices while increasing public awareness of the quality and value of biodynamic food.

An inspiring conversation for anyone interested in viewing farming as a creative practice and exploring innovative pathways toward a more sustainable and resilient agriculture.

Tune in!

As a biodynamic farmer and entrepreneur in your region, what challenges do you face, and what opportunities have emerged from them?

Join us for an online exchange and exploration of diverse biodynamic farming approaches from around the world. Together, we will share experiences, discuss challenges, and find inspiration from different contexts. The online session with our guests Tom Saat and his son will take place on 11 June 2026, from 12:30 to 14:00 CEST.

Let’s connect, exchange ideas, and share relevant reading materials in advance. Please post your questions and/or the challenges you are currently facing in the BD Network beforehand so that we can address the most pressing topics during the meeting.
