Following the centenary of biodynamic agriculture in 2024, we now turn our attention to the future: How can we shape a resilient and forward-looking agriculture in the face of today’s ecological, economic, and social challenges?
Various contributions in the third issue of Living Farms offer answers to this question. They explore how agriculture can succeed even under extreme conditions – such as in desert regions – and how farms can also serve as schools, universities, or places of healing.
These articles not only illustrate how sustainable agriculture can be practiced, but also how we can cultivate a respectful and enduring relationship with the Earth – a core theme of the Agriculture Conference 2025, “The Earth as a Living Being”, which several of the contributions in this issue reference.
