Dear members and friends of the Medicinal herbs & plants group!
Three months ago, we founded the group at the Agricultural Conference in Dornach with around 70 people. We were able to gather many ideas and concerns at this two-day meeting.
In order to become a really active group, the binding commitment of the participants is essential. We have the support of the section, but we have to manage on our own - right up to financing (coordination, translations, speakers, etc.). So I am very grateful that besides Ola Aukrust and me, Bettina Pfeffer and Henrik Hoeren, who thankfully does the French translation, now have joined the so-called steering committee. If you would like to actively participate, please contact me! We are also still looking for someone who could take over the English translation of the texts (for the newsletter etc.)! For the minutes of the founding meeting Ruth Richter jumped in and translated it into English. Many thanks to you, Ruth! (Link: Journal of the foundation meeting)
As announced in early February, the first event will take place together with HORTUS OFFICINARUM (the Association for biological-dynamic seeds of medicinal plants) at Lake Constance. We will visit the garden of the Ekkharthof, Lengwil TG, as part of the HORTUS General Assembly on June 10th. All further information can be found in the appendix or on the HORTUS website (www.hortus-officinarum.ch).
The next agricultural conference at the Goetheanum will be devoted to bio-dynamic preparations. For the workshops, we are still looking for course leaders. If you have suggestions and ideas, please contact me or directly Jean-Michel Florin by mid-June: jean-michel.florin @goetheanum.ch
Last but not least: Who has concrete ideas and proposals for a meeting in summer 2018? I'm happy to hear from you! The next newsletter will appear in December. If you have suggestions, ideas, concerns, please contact me by the end of November!
So much for today!
Kind regards
Michaela Spaar
