In 1924/25 Rudolf Steiner send weekly essays and so-called “Leading Thoughts” to the members of the Anthroposophical Society by the journal “Nachrichtenblatt”.
Today they are published in the collected works of Rudolf Steiner (GA 26).

In the course of the development of humanity the world of ideas became the property of the human soul step by step. The individual human being is not guided by ideas of the spiritual world any longer; he has been released into freedom. That means, he has to choose consciously or unconsciously: to unite himself with his own thinking, feeling and doing with the divine-spiritual beings of his origin as a human being; or to be led by forces, which use the freed intelligence for their own purposes. With this background Rudolf Steiner gave - among others - enlivening impulses for agriculture in the eight lectures of the Agriculture Course in 1924.
