From 15 to 18 April, 39 certified Demeter olive farmers from Portugal, France, Italy, Slovenia, Greece and Italy met in Calabria, southern Italy. On the first day, the group was able to gain a deep insight into high-quality oil processing at the Minischi family and into local tree management. Angelo Minischi shared the highlights and challenges of the farm and the oil mill with the group openly and generously. There was also a tasting of about 15 different Demeter extra virgin olive oils. The sensory test opened a new world of very sensitive quality indicators and it was inspiring to see how many Demeter olive oils of high quality are on the market.
